Explore the great Essex coastline

The Tendring peninsula is coastal so there are a loads of beaches to explore. Below are some examples of  the main beaches in the local area, but there are plenty more for you to discover. Have a great fun day out and let us know which is your favourite beach!

Clacton-on-Sea

Classic British seaside holiday resort with nice sand and a pier. There are amusements, cafes, restaurants, and everything you need all along the coastline.

Walton-on-the-Naze

Nice sandy beach with Britain’s second longest pier containing amusements complex.

Promenade hosts amusements, cafes, restaurants etc.

Frinton-on-Sea

Untouched sandy beach with a very flat slope into the sea. Uncommercialised promenade with rows of brightly coloured beach huts. A short walk into the town and you will find everything you might need.

Holland-on-Sea

A great place for walks and soaking up the peace and sea air. Uncommercialised promenade with very limited facilities.
