SEAFRONT traders in Clacton have hit back at claims families are shunning traditional seaside holidays.
A new report by the National Trust claimed there had been a 20 per cent decline in seaside days out in the past ten years.
But seafront bosses said Clacton was bucking the national trend following huge investment in Clacton Pier, Clacton Pavilion and the £36million sea defence scheme, which has seen the creation of new beaches.
