Holland-on-Sea

Lots of wonderful places to discover

Holland-on-Sea is situated on the North Sea coast, approximately four miles east of Clacton-on-Sea. The village is part of the larger town of Clacton-on-Sea and falls within the Tendring district.

Holland-on-Sea is known for its beautiful sandy beach and scenic coastal surroundings. It attracts tourists and visitors who come to enjoy the quiet seaside atmosphere and the opportunity for leisure activities such as sunbathing, swimming, and beach walks.

There are beach huts which are available to hire through Beach Hut Hire Holland on Sea so you can spend leisurely days in the comfort of your own beach hut. On the actual beach there is very little commercial activity but we do recommend The Flags Café which is on the promenade by the beach and the Kingscliff Hotel  which is set back of the main coastal road.

In addition to the beach, Holland-on-Sea offers access to nearby nature reserves and parks, providing opportunities for wildlife spotting and outdoor pursuits. The surrounding area is known for its picturesque countryside, making it an attractive destination for those seeking a mix of coastal and rural experiences.

The village itself has a range of amenities, including shops, cafes, restaurants, and pubs, catering to both locals and visitors.
